Day 3 Castillo d'Empuries to Saint Cyprien

We left our hotel quite early to try to beat the rain and prepare for a climb over the Pyrenees -- Eurovelo 8 turned out to be a rutted, rocky and difficult trail.  Much of the trail was through a cork oak forest and many of the trees had been recently harvested.  See photos.   At the crest of the Pyrenees, we entered France and, voila, the trail was concrete, beautiful and downhill!!!!!!!!!  Wheeeee!!!   We then entered the Roussillon area of France.  The grapes heavy on the vines and we did sample a few of them.  Yum.  We decided to camp this night and we pulled into Camping Marvilla Parks and it had a fantastic set of pools and incredible water slides.  Despite being tired we decided to give it a whirl.  Wow, that was fun and refreshing.  We had a great pizza and a seafood salad and crawled into bed early, happy, and tired.
