Starting with a long ride up the beautiful Costa Brava, we then turned inland traveling through small villages and agricultural areas (mainly miles of apples--which we may have sampled). We stopped in a hilltop town of yellow stone that had burial tombs from the Visigoths and buildings from the 6th century. Storm clouds were on the horizon throughout the day, but we beat them by a few minutes by checking into a nice hotel after a 52 mile ride. The room was really nice and the food in the restaurant was scrumptious. They actually had a Michelin star!
Cappuccino stop in the town of Pals.
